Data Privacy LPCX Associate with German 

 

Job purpose:

 

Performing transactional and recurring day-to-day tasks on data privacy matters, from a Regional Unit (LPCX Unit), within and across organizational boundaries. The jobholder will assess the respective requests originated by Business Units and Platform Functions in Bayer legal entities in the EMEA region and thus protect the assets and reputation of Bayer and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in the EMEA Region.

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Provide advice on general, recurring questions in the area of Data Privacy (e.g. (Management of: Processing Activities, Data Privacy Impact Assessments, Risk Mitigation, Data Subject Requests), including advice on the correct interpretation of LPC related Bayer policies and support Third Party Data Privacy Due Diligence checks and approvals ​
  • Manage Bayer’s Registry of Processing Activities for EMEA countries in cooperation with customers and stakeholders
  • Provide advice on general, recurring legal questions​
  • Handle the Integrated Compliance Management and support the Effectiveness Monitoring for certain compliance risk areas​
  • Provide Data Privacy consultancy and perform all elements of the global Data Privacy Management System (DPMS) for operational handling, manage Data Privacy Incidents ​
  • Support and monitor the roll out and participation in LPC driven web based trainings, support LPC driven communication campaigns and advise business and platform functions on organization and responsibilities within LPC​
  • Follow up on the development of legislation and standards of legal/compliance work in the EMEA Region for the assigned area of work and ensure application in daily work and implementation into processes and tools, as necessary  ​
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor​

 

Who you are:

 

  • Academic degree (Bachelor, Master) in Law, Compliance, Business Administration, IT, Information Security, or controlling / audit or related discipline ​
  • English language on native speaking (C1/C2) or comparable level; German language on native speaking (C1/C2) or comparable level
  • minimum fluent (oral and written) in Arabic language (optional)
  • A minimum of 1-3 years professional experience after graduation ​
  • Knowledge and understanding of EU General Data Protection Regulation
  • Work experience in the area of data privacy, legal or compliance work from an international law firm or a multinational company desirable​
  • Advanced communication and training skills, also vis-à-vis non-lawyers​
  • Goal-oriented, hands-on, proactive team player, ​
  • Experienced in working with foreign cultures, ideally proven by time spent abroad, and with cross-functional teams​
  • Good knowledge of Compliance Management Systems​
  • Advanced knowledge on anti-corruption, anti-trust, data privacy or laws relevant to the health care or crop science industry desirable​
  • Process and IT affinity​
  • Advanced project management skills​
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and knowledge in handling of management tools
