Job description

SAS / Collibra Administrator
Remote Position
7+Month Contract
Extendable Contract position


Client is looking for a SAS / Collibra Administrator to join their team. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining the Business Intelligence (SAS) AND Collibra Data Governance platform.
  • Installing the SAS metadata server hot fixes, upgrades, Power-BI report server and Bi-Services, Collibra Edge server, upgrading job server environments, and troubleshooting catalog connections to databases.
  • Monitoring system performance, applying patches and updates, and ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Handling user and user group onboarding, including advising on privileges to manage security and license costs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in SAS / Collibra or similar tools.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of cloud administration, infrastructure management, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure.
  • Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix systems.
  • Networking: Understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPC, VPN, DNS, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc., for automation tasks.
  • Security: Knowledge of cloud security principles, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Familiarity with cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Cloud experience in AWS or Azure is required.
