The Communications team at Plaid is looking for a hands-on public relations professional to support our product communications initiatives. This is a key role that will shape the messaging, plans and stories to grow awareness of Plaid’s role in enabling digital finance, including our newest innovations in the credit, lending, banking and wealth spaces.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the ability for technology to build a more equitable financial system, and the potential for Plaid to drive the next phase of digital financial services globally. You have a proven track record of managing successful relationships with the press, partners, customers, and industry influencers. You excel at driving programs across cross-functional teams and are a strong communicator, storyteller and presenter who can interact with senior management, both internally and externally. This person reports directly to our Product Communications Lead.
ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and executing communications program strategies, including messaging and positioning for key external audiencesLeading communications efforts for related product launches Managing media, influencer and analyst relationsDeveloping thought leadership messaging and storytelling opportunities across owned and earned channelsOwning earned speaking opportunities and awards for related spokespeople and executivesWorking with marketing and sales teams to secure customer stories for public announcements, media storytelling, speaking, etc.Collaborating with product marketing, growth marketing and product team leads to align communications strategy with broader team and company goalsCollaborating with Communications team colleagues to align product developments and narratives to broader company storytelling and media opportunitiesCollaborate with the Europe team on opportunities for media, customer storytelling and earned speaking.
