Position Information

 

 

Position Overview

 

We are looking for a passionate Business Intelligence Analyst. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into presentation-ready dashboards allowing our customers to make more informed decisions. Your primary responsibilities will involve working across departments to analyze and understand datasets and create product-specific dashboards using our new, modernized technology stack.

 

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.

  • Perform in-depth analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies

  • Create visually engaging and user-friendly dashboards using our Business Intelligence application, Sigma Computing

  • Ensure dashboards effectively communicate key metrics and KPIs related to our products

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data to ensure correct representation of data in dashboards

  • Utilize best practices in information design and data visualization to present complex information clearly, making it easy for users to understand and act on

  • Maintain data integrity by identifying data quality issues and working with data source teams to remediate issues

  • Stay up to date on industry trends in analytics

  • Maintain documentation on methodologies and design frameworks to share within the organization

Qualifications

Requirements

  • BS or BA degree recommended

  • 1-3 years' experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Sisense, Sigma Computing, etc.

  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable information

  • A strong attention to detail specifically in design

  • Ability to write intermediate SQL

  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills, particularly Excel

  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication skills – including oral, written & presentation

  • Ability to work well on a team – to offer and receive instruction

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable

  • Ability to maintain excellent customer service

  • Ability to lead, “own,” and drive a project or case to completion
