We are looking for a dependable and trustworthy Principal Technical Consultant – Data Management to join our team and work closely with our clients. This role involves leading, scoping, designing, architecting, developing, and delivering complex data management solutions, ensuring high standards in technical design and implementation. You will work closely with the business engagement lead, who will manage the BI and business process components of projects. As part of a small, specialized team, this position will have significant autonomy and responsibility, with ample opportunity to influence project direction and client strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Data Management Projects: End-to-end responsibility for scoping, designing, and delivering data management solutions for mid-size and enterprise clients.
Solution Architecture & Design: Design data architecture, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud storage solutions across Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks environments.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical oversight and guidance to the team on complex data issues and best practices in data management and integration.
Cloud Data Platforms: Work with cloud-based solutions, primarily focusing on Azure cloud services, and also utilizing Snowflake and Databricks.
Collaborative Consulting: Work alongside the business engagement lead to align technical solutions with business requirements, ensuring a cohesive approach to each project.
Development & Implementation: Hands-on development of data pipelines, integration, and data modelling to build scalable and efficient data architectures.
Client Engagement: Provide technical consultation to clients during project scoping and delivery, ensuring expectations are met and projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Data Governance & Security: Ensure data governance, data quality, and security best practices are implemented in all solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
15+ years of experience in data management, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
5+ years of experience in leading data management, data warehousing and data governance projects.
Proven experience with cloud platforms:
Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake)
Snowflake
Databricks
Advanced proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (on-premises and cloud-based).
Strong expertise in data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, and structured and unstructured data environments.
Experience with data migration projects, particularly from legacy systems to modern cloud-based architectures.
API Integration Experience: Understanding of API-driven data integration with platforms like MuleSoft, Azure Logic Apps, or similar tools.
Experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data management.
Experience working remotely and with geographically dispersed teams.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK.
Experience working with mid-size companies and understanding the unique challenges of firms without internal data teams.

Set-up and Location: WFH/Remote (equipment provided by Staff Domain)
Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (AEDT) | 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (PH Time)
