Clinical Liaison (VIC South-East)

The Position

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (South), the Clinical Liaison (VIC South-East) performs and initiates sales activities to achieve sales budgets. Your assigned territory encompasses all of Victoria South-East, with a regional area of Mornington Peninsula & Bairnsdale/ Gippsland Area.

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Establish strong relationships with key opinion leaders and clinical staff to drive quality care and best practice, expansion of treatment access for patients and endorsement for Indivior’s products.

  • Actively contribute to the team in identifying opportunities for business growth, development of business plan and distribution of suitable educational and promotional materials.

  • Commercially responsible for development of the business in Victoria South-East by building influential relationships amongst all external stakeholders in the opioid dependence treatment community, and driving education, appropriate usage and adoption of Indivior’s products.

  • The role encompasses the building of awareness, empathy and engagement in the treatment of opioid dependency (expanding treatment access), and driving awareness, education and appropriate usage of Indivior’s products amongst:

  • Specialist Clinicians
  • Primary Care (GP) prescribers
  • Drug Treatment Teams
  • Pharmacists
  • Nursing staff and other HCPs in the drug and alcohol community

This awareness is achieved through one-one meetings and discussions as well as the organisation and implementation of small and large scale educational meetings and forums and establishing mentoring, peer to peer networks and triangulation of care.

  • Effective customer segmentation, targeting and prioritisation combined with time management to ensure efficient territory management and delivery of KPIs.

  • Actively contribute to the business plan by providing insights and learnings from the market to assist in identifying opportunities for growth.

  • Any other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are a self-motivated, driven individual who loves the challenge of engaging with and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders. More specifically the successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health-related area, nurse, health worker, medical (preferred)

  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience or past involvement in the field of drug addiction or at least sales or health related experience in a similar specialist niche pharmaceutical market segment (clinic, hospital, specialist target audiences).

  • Ability to organise and lead clinical educational meetings

  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills and empathy, track record of building long standing influential relationships

  • Proven ability to understand and operate in a technically complex therapeutic area

  • Completion/ willingness to complete the Medicines Australia Continuing Education Program

  • Valid driver’s license (essential)
