Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking to fill a critical role for an experienced Review Specialist This position is 100% remote.

In this role the Reviewer will be responsible for the following:

  • Reviews federal background investigations cases utilizing a computer reporting system.
  • Reviews the case to ensure it is complete and meets customer requirements.
  • Submits the case to the customer for final review.
  • Communicates with field staff regarding any case issues.
  • May assist with quality audits and on the job training/mentoring for new employees.
  • Maintains knowledge and familiarity with relevant terminology, policies and procedures of the procedures as outlined by the contract/customer.
  • Assists the field investigations unit in reworking deficient cases.
  • Uses the Internet to research addresses and phone numbers.
  • Reviews reports of investigation for contract compliance.
  • May complete rebuttals on deficient notices to try to get the deficient rating overturned.
  • Identifies and tracks common trends for reopens and communicates trends to management.
  • Assists in identifying information that needs to be discussed with customer for clarification.
  • Works closely with Field Managers, Contract Liaisons and Field Investigators to complete cases to client specifications and timeliness parameters.
  • Provides clarification to the field staff concerning deficient notifications.
  • Under general supervision, capable of performing all jobs including the most complex.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practices.
  • Work is checked since errors may cause delay or expense.
  • May assist and train less experienced personnel.

Qualifications

Required:

  • US Citzenship
  • Current Tier 5 SSBI favorably adjudicated clearance
  • 1+ years of experience reviewing federal background investigations cases utilizing a computer reporting system.
  • 1+ years of experience reviewing cases to ensure it is complete and meets customer requirements.
  • 1+ years of experience submitting cases to the customer for final review.
  • 1+ years of experience communicating with field staff regarding case issues
  • High School plus advanced training, and 2-4yrs of experience

Preferred:

  • Experience reviewing cases on federal investigative contracts
  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals and personalities professionally and effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment with limited supervision
  • Excellent organizational, scheduling and prioritization skills
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality ethics and integrity
  • Proficient writing and communication skills
  • Intermediate typing (40+ WPM recommended) and computer skills

Target Salary Range
