Job Description

Allied Universal Technology Services, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Proposal Coordinator . The Proposal Coordinator is responsible for supporting the proposal development and qualification process from the beginning stages to final delivery. This role review inputs from engineers, estimators, sales, and other internal departments to ensure proposals contain readable language, consistent factual statements, and responds to statements of requirements. The Proposal Coordinator will manage, create, and distribute content for sales proposals that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, create, and leverage proposal narrative content for sales proposals and marketing material.
  • Collect and refine complex technical and commercial proposal content from subject matter experts; adjust the text as necessary to ensure clarity through both written descriptions and visual elements
  • Provide proposal development and production support that includes word processing, graphics, formatting, styles, version control, edit, proofing, and final proposal delivery to client
  • Review and interpret the RFP, RFI, RFQ and Pre-Qualification packages; analyze the requirements to ensure that our responses are fully compliant with the customer’s requirements
  • Work closely with the Proposal Lead to ensure consistency within technical and commercial proposals and adherence to proposal development processes
  • Work with Proposal Coordinators, Sales Team, Engineers, and Estimators to maintain relevant, high-quality boilerplate text for use in future proposals
  • Perform quality check and solicit internal reviews of proposal documents

Qualifications

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technical Writing, English or related field with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in managing or supporting the proposal development process
    • Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technical Writing, English or related field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing or supporting the proposal development process
    • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing or supporting the proposal development process
  • Must possess exceptional technical writing and editing skills, with strong proficiency in grammar and excellent attention to detail (completion of a writing assignment will be required during the interview process)
  • Experience in Adobe, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office applications, preferably with a focus on the development of sales-related materials
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple capture management efforts and meeting strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to explain difficult concepts and skill at creating easy-to follow, comprehensive procedures
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and prioritization skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally while demonstrating excellent oral and written communication, along with strong follow-up skills
  • Possesses skills in planning and reporting, coupled with strong analytical and decision-making abilities to develop strategic solutions, optimize processes, and drive successful outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior security industry related experience and proposal development software administration
  • SharePoint experience

Benefits

  • Pay: $61,000 - $81,000 base salary
  • Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance
  • Enrollment in our company’s 401 (k) or Supplemental Income Plan, subject to eligibility requirements
  • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days
  • Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
