The Energy Transition Team Credit Specialist is a new role within DLL. As
the Credit Specialist (“CS”) for Energy Transition (“ET”), you will help to contribute to the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future. You will underwrite the credit risk of the counterparty while also taking into consideration the overall Risk-Reward-Sustainability components of the transaction. It is crucial that the specialist has a sharp eye for the relevant legislation and regulations (compliance) and acts in accordance with them across the full scope of the discipline. You are able to set up (credit / financing) structures for complex, non-standard and high-risk transactions, working closely with other functions, including commercial, legal, and compliance. In terms of difficulty, the subject matter explicitly requires the ability to create clarity and structure in the large diversity of strategic, business and financial-economic aspects that influence it. The issue is characterized by impact and a high difficulty: to come to a solution and quality advice, extensive specialist discipline-specific practical experience is required apart from ample expertise. You will act as a sparring partner for the business, characterized as a senior advisor towards the Credit Decisioning Bodies and relevant GBU’s. You will provide discipline specific coaching to underwriters in the Region and are a recognized specialist. You will work closely with the Industry Specialist related to Vendor / Partner programs to safeguard industry and asset knowledge.

Day To Day
- Provide powerful functional guidance to the countries
- Take Risks: Propose risk appetite in alignment with the ET business:
- Manage and liaise with all DLL parties including Group Risk Management departments, internal stakeholders and external customers/partners within the dedicated countries with respect to risk management matters and representation of DLL Group.
- Take Risks: Execute business strategy and maintain risk profile within the risk appetite and underwriting criteria
- Underwrite and decision nonstandard structured complex application and end-user/dealer/local vendor applications that exceed the authority level of the Country and that are within the own delegated authority; recommend applications towards Regional CRO
- Ensure timely and quality submission of material to the Regional and Global Credit Committees
- Credit and risk management activities concerning highly complex deal structures (highly customized payment conditions, agreements, proposals) with knowledge of all business units and customer sectors,
- Takes Risks: Provide clear, substantiation for new business and product proposals and material changes
- Owns Risks: Embrace effective forward looking risk management by identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring and reporting on risks incurred in business activities
- Owns Risks: Act consistent with the DLL values and supporting policies and standards
- Provide coaching, guidance, training, and coordination for the dedicated countries
- Educate and advise country risk members and business partners in reviewing and organizing their own Country Risk capacity and capabilities for all risk areas as well as industry specialization, in line with the business objectives.
- Direct responsibility for coaching the (performance and development) of the Country credit underwriters in the dedicated countries
- Owns Risks: Demonstrate adequate oversight of the relevant portfolio
- Manages Risks: Implement supporting systems, models, processes, procedures, and deliver training in order to adhere to policies

- Academic level of thinking
- Highly experienced Credit /Risk Professional with significant experience in complex transaction structuring including utilizing significant levels of credit authority, preferably in an asset finance environment
- Strong understanding of and risk experience in financing clean and green energy assets
- Superior Credit Application writing skills.
