Position Overview

Job Title: Staff Accountant (GL)

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Remote (San fernando, Pampanga, Philippines)

Hours: 6pm-3am Manila Time

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Staff Accountant (GL). The ideal candidate holds an accounting degree and demonstrates a strong aptitude for financial analysis and general ledgers.

  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Processes high volume of vendor invoices
  • Maintaining General Ledger: Recording all financial transactions accurately in the general ledger system.
  • Preparing Financial Statements: Generating periodic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare reports and statements.
  • Reconciling Accounts: Ensuring the accuracy of accounts by reconciling discrepancies and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Month-end and Year-end Close: Leading or assisting in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handling Accruals and Prepayments: Managing accruals for expenses incurred but not yet paid and prepayments for expenses paid in advance.
  • Assisting in Audits: Providing necessary information and support during internal and external audits.
  • Financial Analysis: Conducting variance analysis and providing insights into financial performance.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial reporting requirements.

Physical Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
