Coursera’s Enterprise Marketing team connects businesses, universities and governments with our world-class learning products, content and solutions. Enterprise Marketers play an important role in accelerating the growth and market share of the Enterprise Business globally with innovative marketing programs to attract, retain, and expand relationships across all segments.
As marketing leader for the AMER regional marketing team you will play an integral role as member of the marketing leadership team leading regional demand generation and field marketing efforts across our business, campus and government verticals. In this role, you will be responsible for working with sales leadership to define the marketing strategy for the region and deliver high quality top of funnel leads that convert to high quality sales pipeline to hit quarterly and annual goals. You will manage a team of marketers focused on field marketing activities, while partnering with the global demand generation and customer marketing team to regionalize customer marketing, customer advocacy, account-based marketing programs, digital marketing, and integrated campaigns.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have an ability to shape and build a comprehensive marketing strategy and plan aligned with business goals and tied to performance outcomes, expert communication skills, strong ability to collaborate and influence to execute the strategy and plan, and ability to build and inspire high performing teams.
The ideal candidate will be creative, data-driven, have marketing experience across multiple marketing functions, and collaborate effectively with product, marketing and sales. Responsibilities:
- In partnership with sales leadership, develop and drive regional marketing strategies to generate demand and accelerate pipeline for enterprise, campus, and government verticals.
- Achieve regional targets for sales accepted opportunities and marketing-sourced and influenced pipeline; lead initiatives to optimize the performance of the marketing/sales funnel.
- Build, execute, and optimize marketing activities to drive engagement via conferences, workshops, online events, content marketing, account-based marketing and other field marketing activities.
- Partner with the global demand generation and customer marketing team to regionalize customer marketing, customer advocacy, account- based marketing programs, digital marketing, and integrated campaigns.
- Manage and develop a high performing team of marketers who can scale to support a fast-growing business.
- Operate as key leader of the Enterprise marketing leadership team responsible for driving revenue growth and market penetration in the region
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years Enterprise SaaS marketing experience in a fast-growth environment
- 5+ years managing a marketing team
- 5+ years responsible for sales pipeline for a region or customer segment
- Successful track record managing multi-channel initiatives including events, webinars, email, content, and paid media campaigns
- Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to make business cases and decisions and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience across key marketing disciplines, including demand generation, brand and content, enablement, events, ABM and marketing technology
- Proven experience engaging at an executive level internally with cross-functional groups and externally
- Demonstrated history of working in a highly matrixed environment, including expertise in leading through others and a track record of leading successful cross functional programs, and ability to influence
- Background in helping build/scale businesses
- Proven experience managing high performing teams
