About the Position
As a mid-level production role, the BIM Specialist is part of the production team that supports all levels of the engineering team across multiple disciplines. This individual manages virtually constructing a building and documenting the design contract from the construction documents set through as-built submittals. They are responsible for managing the models, conducting BIM planning, and ensuring collaboration, coordination, and accuracy on all projects. They serve as the go-to person on the project for modeling, documentation, and verifying design intent.
As the person responsible for QA/QC on projects, this individual must learn the fundamentals of technology systems such as telecommunications infrastructure, cabling, audiovisual, security, acoustics, and wired and wireless networks. Therefore, they will participate in the TEECOMuniversity in-house training program, including Bridge courses and one-on-one or group sessions. As an expert in Revit, they will participate in, create, and provide feedback on the Revit training in Pinnacle.

Document design decisions, whether made by external or internal sources. Maintain an accurate project record.Communication: Conduct business communications in an effective, professional, and concise manner, both verbally and in written formats, and in one-on-one, small-group, and large-group settings. Learn new software and applications as needed.Process-Oriented: Follow processes, continually seek to make processes more efficient, enforce processes, and conduct root cause analyses that lead to the update or creation of processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Learn the building design process and the pursuit processParticipate in BIM-related forums and user groups to discover new techniques and identify changes in regards to BIM processesFoster client relationships and fellow design team membersAsk clients about other current or upcoming projectsAttend client and/or industry eventsAssist in schematic design, design development, and construction documentation for a variety of projectsAssist with the production of accurate and detailed construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit for one or more disciplinesAssist with clients, consultants, and BIM team regarding BIM standards/processes, and if necessary, document project BIM standards/processes for distribution to the project teamAssist with project production effort in a fast-paced and collaborative environmentAssist with the coordination of schedules and resources around project work to complete tasks on timeAssist with BIM quality assurance and quality control by reviewing project BIM standards at various phases of the project so they adhere to TEECOM standards and client project requirementsParticipate in project BIM coordination meetings: spatial coordination of disciplines, gathering discipline BIM modelsAssist with clash detection and conflict resolutionAssist with methods for electronic information transferIdentify and recommend automation tools, scripts, or other 3rd-party software tools to reduce the production timePerform other work-related duties as assignedEnsure timesheets/expense reports are accurate and up-to-date dailyAchieve billed revenue target each quarterExperienceEducation/Degree/Major: BS in Engineering Minimum two to three years as a BIM Specialist or BIM TechnicianMinimum two years of professional Autodesk product use and support (Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, Navisworks)Bluebeam Studio is a plusMicrosoft SuiteG SuiteYour level will be evaluated and determined during the interview process.
