Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia but we engage our Contractors and Freelancers all over the world to help us meet our crazy big goals. As a Contractor at Canva you can work remotely in the country listed on this job ad, meaning you have ultimate flexibility. Wherever works for you, works for us.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

• Delivering high-quality rotoscope work that seamlessly integrates into the final product
• Creating pixel-perfect masks with deep focus on the details for Canva
• Separating products from the background through keying
• Work on the short videos library, each video has a length 5-9 seconds
• Work to high-quality result standards and follow requirements
• Communicate with the Canva Czech Republic Media & Retouching team

You're probably a match if

• You speak English or Czech language
• You have 5+ years expertise as a Rotoscoping Artist or a similar role within the VFX industry
• You are proficient in rotoscoping software such as Silhouette, After Effects, Mocha, Da Vinci Resolve or similar tools
• You have strong rotoscoping and keying skills
• You have a keen eye for precision in order to catch imperfections
• You possess excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing and refining ideas together.
• You are open to receiving feedback and willing to make adjustments if the requirements are not fulfilled.

About the team

You'll be a key player in our Media & Retouching team, helping to expand our library of video mock-ups. We can't wait to see the magic you'll create!

This is a six-month contract that offers part-time hours, approximately 80 hours a month.
