CloudPSO is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our revenue growth strategy, manage lead generation efforts, and oversee our Upwork company profile. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, a strong understanding of digital marketing services and software development, and hands-on experience in generating new business opportunities through various channels.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the optimization of our presence on platforms like Upwork to boost revenue and expand our client base. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on business development skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Revenue Growth:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to increase CloudPSO’s revenue within a 12-month period.
  • Identify and explore new business opportunities and revenue streams within the IT, software development, and digital marketing services space.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and actively work on converting leads into high-value deals.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies to target high-potential industries and client segments, leveraging data-driven decision-making.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and alliances to drive business growth and brand recognition.

Lead Generation:

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify new business opportunities and create target lists for outreach through various channels such as LinkedIn, industry events, and Upwork.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute lead generation campaigns that result in qualified leads.
  • Utilize tools like Apollo.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and CRM systems to source new leads, track engagements, and follow up effectively.
  • Design and implement lead nurturing strategies and ABM (Account-Based Marketing) tactics to convert prospects into paying clients.

Upwork Company Profile Management:

  • Manage and optimize CloudPSO’s Upwork company profile to maximize visibility, client engagement, and project opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong presence on Upwork, ensuring that profiles are updated with the latest services, portfolios, and client testimonials.
  • Create and execute strategies for bidding on relevant projects to ensure a high success rate.
  • Oversee and train internal team members on Upwork best practices, SOPs, and compliance with Upwork regulations.
  • Manage communications with potential clients on Upwork, draft compelling proposals, and ensure timely responses to project inquiries.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and positioning CloudPSO as a trusted partner.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, handling negotiations, project onboarding, and ongoing account management.
  • Develop strategies to increase customer satisfaction, cross-sell and upsell services, and encourage repeat business.

Strategic Planning & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with senior management to set business development goals, KPIs, and targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to refine strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities, pipeline status, revenue forecasts, and performance metrics.

Team Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and delivery teams to align business development efforts with CloudPSO’s overall growth strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members in business development, proposal writing, and client engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to building a high-performance business development team and help establish best practices.


Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the IT, software development, or digital marketing industry.
  • Proven experience in managing Upwork or similar freelancing platforms with a strong track record of winning high-value projects.
  • Hands-on experience in lead generation and prospecting, with knowledge of modern tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, and other CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
