Job description

What you’ll do as the Head of Strategic Sales Programs:

The Head of Strategic Sales Programs role has a significant technical component associated with it, the successful applicant will need to have a technology background, ideally with a qualification within computer science. The initial (and subsequently ongoing) responsibilities will involve collaboration with Salesforce, Internal IT and finance stakeholders.

You’ll be seen as the main driver ensuring that the Salesforce.com platform and TGE’s internal datawarehouse platforms ‘talk to each other’, thus producing algorithms that accurately produce insights that assist the salesforce to manage customers more effectively. In particular, the role has a focus on early identification of customer behaviours that indicate increased likelihood of potential reduction in revenues.

Another responsibility will be presenting accurate and timely reporting & analysis of data for the relevant account management teams, and proactively collaborating with these teams with innovative strategies to both retain and optimise revenues.

Ultimately your contributions will lead to increased business performance. You will help in delivering sales process efficiencies through standardisation & automation, championing best practices, and continuous improvements within the commercial revenue teams.

The purpose is to create a sustainable sales framework that not only meets short-term goals but also lays the groundwork for long-term success and competitive advantage.

By leveraging data-driven insights and customer feedback, you will empower the sales team to exceed targets and strengthen customer relationships.

Typical duties and responsibilities will also include (not limited to):

  • Driving cross-business unit strategic projects ensuring optimal engagement
  • Lead the design, logic, process adherence, and operation of TGE’s SIP to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to enhance performance and achieve targets
  • Conduct market analysis and gather customer feedback/trends to inform sales strategies and product offerings
  • Oversee sales budgets and allocate resources effectively to support strategic initiatives
  • Monitor expenses and ensure alignment with financial objectives

What are we looking for in the Head of Strategic Sales Programs? What’s important?

  • 10+ years experience performing similar duties/responsibilities as described above
  • Technology qualification, ideally Computer Science
  • Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders/cross-functional teams
  • Logistics, supply chain and/or pharmaceutical background (not essential)
  • Knowledge/expertise with Salesforce (not essential)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with large datasets

Internal applicants are very much encouraged to apply early!

Think of reasons to apply, as opposed to reasons not to!
