As an IT Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer, you will be tasked with ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our organization's infrastructure, including network and servers. Your primary responsibilities will involve handling the configuration, upkeep, and reliable functioning of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. This will involve configuring and installing network and server components and actively participating in research and development initiatives to enhance our infrastructure. Your expertise will play a vital role in meeting the ongoing IT requirements of our organization and ensuring the seamless operation of our network and server systems.


Responsibilities

  • Configuring and administrating both on-premises and cloud-based virtualized server and storage solutions, such as virtual machines, hypervisors, and storage arrays, to optimize performance, reliability, and resource allocation
  • Monitoring network performance and optimizing network resources to ensure efficient and reliable operation
  • Conducting regular system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades to keep computer systems and servers up to date with the latest security patches and enhancements
  • Configuring and developing Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, including setting up policies, security controls, and device enrollment procedures to centrally manage and secure mobile devices used within the organization
  • Integrating systems with the organization's Identity Provider (IdP) to enable single sign-on (SSO) functionality, simplifying user authentication and authorization processes across multiple applications and platforms
  • Developing and implementing automation processes to improve efficiency and consistency in user provisioning, access management, and identity lifecycle management
  • Administrating and managing various Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, including user administration, access control, configuration, and troubleshooting, to ensure their smooth operation and alignment with business needs

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of system administration experience
  • Proven experience in managing datacenter infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Bash, Python and PowerShell
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing service desk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
  • Bachelor's degree or certifications in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field.
  • A proven record of accomplishment of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Familiarity with various AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation, as well as Azure services like Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, Functions, and Resource Manager – An advantage
