As the Billing Operations Manager at Vanta, you will play a major role in our Order to Cash process and oversee the customer billing lifecycle ensuring operational excellence in accuracy of customer invoicing, cash receipts and providing excellent customer service to our customers. In addition, you will also help support our internal teams, assisting in all billing related inquiries, and support month-end close operations.

What you’ll do as a Billing Operations Manager at Vanta:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of billing specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Manage and maintain the billing system infrastructure, ensuring it is optimized for scalability and integration with other platforms
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Account Management, GTM Operations & Systems, and Legal to identify areas for enhancing the customer experience and streamline Order-to-Cash processes
Assist with continuous process improvement and development of automated systems including enhancements to Billing tools
Handle complex customer escalations related to billing inquiries, disputes, and credits
Continue to develop and implement policies and procedures to scale with the business
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to billing operations, and customer billing
How to be successful in this role:
5+ years experience working in billing in a SaaS environment
Proven leadership and people management skills, fostering a collaborative environment, and guiding staff to achieve operational excellence in billing operations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills
Must be able to prioritize, and take initiative
Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and lead complex initiatives
Proficiency in Zendesk, Salesforce, NetSuite (or similar ERP systems), Stripe, and Bill.com

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The salary or OTE range for this position is $128,000 - $151,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
