SENIOR DIRECTOR, INFRASTRUCTURE & DEVOPS
Starting base salary CAD$150,000 – 185,000

Summary:
As the Senior Director, DevOps and Infrastructure you will play a key role at 360insights, you and your team will in executing the infrastructure vision for all platforms. You will oversees and provide guidance to the DevOps and Infrastructure team. You will ensure alignment across multiple teams for short, medium and long-term execution of plans.
What you will be doing::
- Develop and manage your team’s roadmap and projects in alignment with the broader technology strategy and business objectives.
- Lead, develop and coach a team of site reliability engineers in the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure.
- Develop and be accountable for cloud management budget
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and solutions to enhance service offerings
- Work closely with product development, operations, and customer support teams to ensure infrastructure meets business requirements
- Experience designing cloud architecture solutions leveraging the strengths / benefits of AWS services (e.g. on demand, elasticity, regional support, content delivery, fault tolerance, auto scaling, DevOps, audit compliance)
- Establish processes and delivery management that addresses both operational and project work
- Leverage industry trends, innovations, emerging technologies, and best practices in the design of the platform (e.g. AWS cloud native serverless computing, infrastructure standards etc.)
- Rationalization of the multiple technologies into a cohesive optimized infrastructure design
- Pursue and cultivate effective working relationships, work in partnership to achieve goals with all development teams
- Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate with internal and external business/technical teams
- Ensure work is suitably designed and documented (both operational and architectural)
- Support and improve on DevOps principals with the development team
- Ability to present ideas in business friendly language
- Act with entrepreneurial spirit, taking creative approaches to accomplishing goals and demonstrate achievement orientation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
- Effective at managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines and working well under pressure, prioritizing to meet organizational business need
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Manage an on-call rotation
- Ensure authorized access by investigating improper access; revoking access; reporting violations; monitoring information requests by new programming; recommending improvements.
- Safeguard computer files by performing regular backups; developing procedures for source code management and disaster preparedness; recommending improvements.
- Help team members improve themselves and each other.
- 1-on-1s, performance feedback and provide professional growth advice

What you’ll bring to this role:
- 8 years experience driving infrastructure and devops design
- Excellent technical knowledge deploying and maintaining services in AWS and Azur
- Experience managing a variety of cloud-based technologies.
- Experience managing Azure and AWS budgets
- Experience in infrastructure architecture, design and security
- Experience in Container Orchestration; experience with tools/technology such as Docker, Auto Scaling, CICD, Cloud Infrastructure management (TerraForm) & monitoring tools
- Establish and maintain uptime and SLAs including tooling and reporting
- Experience establishing and designing and implementing improvements in infrastructure reliability and availability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years in technical leadership role. The candidate must have experience in managing highly technical teams of >5 people
- Experience in infrastructure architecture and design
- Have technical certifications related to Cloud technologies
- Experience with Infrastructure Operations
- Experience coaching, mentoring and supporting your team in operational work, improvement projects and individual growth
