In this role, we are looking for someone with experience in procurement data and insights generation. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that is having a strategic impact on company success while driving the analytics & insights powerhouse for Procurement. You will be versatile in the language of various sources or forms of procurement data, translating them into business context to derive meaningful insights for strategic selection.
The data sources could include but not limited to SAP, contract meta data, preferred/critical supplier tracking, market intelligence feed for commodity or for CBI procurement categories, value capture/savings & KPI, supplier performance data and supplier insights, vendor master data, various external data feed in API format, all data included in current and future procurement technology, etc.
This role will report directly to the Manager, Insights & Data. Domestic and international travel required, up to 20% annually on an ad hoc basis. Full-time remote opportunity is open for discussion for qualified candidates. The preferred location will be Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
KPI tracking to enable insights-driven decision making & progress transparency
Procurement Insights generation from spend, supplier, and market intelligence
Support Delivery of category insights for strategic sourcing opportunities worth pursuing through benchmarking, market and supplier research, and macroeconomic analysis
Consolidate and summarize market insights from category intelligence sources, gather forecast information (where applicable), and cascade information to relevant stakeholders on a regular basis
Procurement Spend Data Management
SME of 3rd party spend re-categorization tool & Internal spend hierarchy
Work internally with IT on an ad-hoc basis to adjust spend hierarchy as needed
Work with procurement category teams on integrity of spend categorization, hosting workshops to identify areas of opportunity for re-categorization
Develop tools & PowerBI dashboards to improve, digitize, and/or automate procurement processes supporting e-sourcing, spend reporting, contract management, supplier scorecarding
Participate in the deployment of Procurement software implementations and oversee the administration of current software solutions, including e-sourcing, spend reporting, contract management, supplier scorecarding.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of Procurement experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities and resources in a dynamic environment across various businesses, and organize complex information
Strong process analysis and documentation skills required
Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to delve into details and interpret the impact of key business drivers
Enjoys influencing and driving meaningful changes without authority
Team player attitude
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint,
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience with PowerBI
Experience with Spend Visibility platforms

The salary range for this role is:
$78,800.00 - $118,200.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
