The Manager of Branding and Marketing is a valued member of the Business Strategies Communications team within the Office of the Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). We seek a thoughtful and creative content creator who excels at developing and managing creative content about the world-class campus, innovation, and student experience, which is achieved through operational excellence at The University of Texas at Austin. This position will support the Executive Director of Branding and Marketing with a particular emphasis on promoting Discovery to Impact.

Purpose

Reporting to the Executive Director of Branding and Marketing, support branding and marketing activities and initiatives across the SVP/ COO portfolio with a particular emphasis on Discovery to Impact.

Responsibilities

  • Creates, reviews, and edits branding and marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Collaborates with creative and marketing in the development of effective marketing materials.
  • Helps to manage and maintain social media campaigns and channels within the organizational portfolio.
  • Organizes and manages organizational events (e.g., townhalls, department-wide meetings, speaker series, etc.). 

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field
  • 5 – 7 years of related branding and marketing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • Fluency with digital and social media platforms.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with content management systems, such as Drupal and Mailchimp, or similar systems.
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Videography, basic photography, and graphic design skills.
  • Experience communicating with a large and varied audience

Salary Range

$90,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

This position requires a physical presence in a standard office environment at the UT main campus and is not eligible for a regular remote or hybrid work at this time.
