Job Description

We are seeking a Scientific Content Writer to support our Strategic Integrated Marketing & Brand team, responsible for crafting high-quality, engaging, and conversion-focused content tailored to biotech and biopharma audiences. This role involves rapid and effective communication with various stakeholders, adhering to deadlines, taking a data-driven approach, and maintaining a drive to continually learn about the business.

You will create content that resonates with our target biotech and biopharma audiences, driving engagement and supporting our company's marketing and sales objectives. Achieving success will rely on your ability to produce compelling content that informs and motivates current and future customers to learn more about our offerings and take action.

What will you do?

  • Write Content: Develop copy for our website(s), email campaigns, advertising (particularly digital/short-form content), merchandising and other marketing materials.
  • Collaborate: Work with segment marketing leaders, vertical marketing managers, sales, sales operations and other stakeholders to create high-quality, compelling content that supports marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Multi-Platform Content: Produce content that can be used across various platforms (digital and offline) to engage the market, drive prospects through the funnel, and support successful sales processes. Submit intake documentation and follow processes for asset development and deployment.
  • Data-Driven Improvement: Use sales and customer feedback along with purchase & performance data to continually refine and improve the content produced.
  • Thought Leadership: Propose and create sector-specific thought leadership content to position the company as a leader in our chosen market sectors.
  • Innovative Approaches: Experiment with different approaches to demand-focused content that drives leads and engagement.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in biotech and biopharma sectors

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in content marketing or copywriting.
  • Bachelor's or masters degree in biological science preferred and/or experience working in biotechnology, biopharma, diagnostics, or healthcare companies.
  • Formal training and experience as a content writer or editor.
  • Experience writing engaging copy for various platforms, including social media, websites, and email campaigns.
  • Understanding of marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices across both digital and offline platforms is an advantage.
  • Experience producing in-depth content for a drug development or diagnostics audience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Resourceful, creative, and pragmatic approach to content creation.
  • Strong storytelling ability, with a background in biotech or biopharma sectors.
  • Understanding of marketing processes, the buyer journey, and demand generation. Ability to influence and lead teams towards achieving common goals.
  • Proficiency with utilization of generative AI for content creation is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style suited to working in highly matrixed and global organizations.
  • Proven analytical skills; critical thinker.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities without missing deadlines.
