Job description

About us

At Udemy, we’re on a mission to transform lives through learning. Through our intelligent skills platform and a global community of instructors, we’ve helped over 70 million learners and 16,000 organizations achieve their goals. Come join us in ensuring everyone, everywhere has access to the skills they need to unlock their potential and create possibilities for themselves and others.

About you

You’ve got goals, and you’re energetic when it comes to working toward them. You want to enter an environment that welcomes diverse experiences and broadens your own. With the right support from your team, you’re not afraid to embrace your creativity and take risks that have the potential to move the business forward.

About this role

As a Paid Search Marketing Manager on Udemy’s paid search marketing team, you’ll be a major contributor to Udemy’s global learner acquisition efforts. You will directly contribute to Udemy’s mission of improving lives through learning by reaching and inspiring new learners to upskill and advance in their careers with Udemy.

Your work will entail the day-to-day management of multiple paid search accounts within Udemy’s global advertising program. Throughout the year, you will manage a variety of paid search campaigns based on quarterly budget and performance goals, test hypotheses for program improvements and present results, and contribute to department-wide initiatives like new product release go-to-market strategies or integrations of new marketing technologies. You’ll get the chance to work directly with marketing leaders and cross-functional teams like engineering, data science, analytics, and creative to help grow and expand your program’s learner base globally, often in multiple languages.

What you'll be doing
  • Create, optimize, and scale at least $3 million in annual paid search investment across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads to maximize program growth.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on channel performance using a diverse set of in-platform and internal metrics; present insights to internal stakeholders and upward to leadership.
  • Design, set up, and evaluate experiments on messaging, targeting, and site experience testing; suggest next steps and future tests based on learnings.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Decision Science teams to improve eventing signals, marketing measurement, automation, and ad-level or on-site personalization.
  • Collaborate with acquisition channel managers on cross-channel strategies.
  • Manage relationships with ad agencies, Google, and Bing account teams.
What you’ll have
  • 4 or more years managing paid search accounts.
  • Experience with accounts spending $250K+/month.
  • Previous experience collaborating with at least one other paid advertising team: paid social, programmatic, affiliate, content syndication, media planning, etc.
  • Global campaign management experience, ideally in multiple languages.
  • Proficiency using spreadsheets; familiarity with advanced systems like Google Data Studio, Google Analytics, Mode, Tableau, or Clarisights
  • Experience with various campaign types: Search, Demand Gen, Video (YouTube), App, or Performance Max.

We understand that not everyone will match each of the above qualifications. However, we also realize that everyone has unique experiences that can add value to our company. Even if you think your background might not perfectly align, we'd love to hear from you!
