The pay range above represents the minimum and maximum rate for this position in California. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range. Salary range will vary for remote positions outside of California.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Business Solutions (IT), under immediate supervision, the Developer I will work with various business unit and IT resources to develop solutions for operational and ad-hoc reporting, ETL, data driven business decisions, and systems integration from technical specifications based on customer and business needs, industry best practices and available technology.
The Developer I will perform assigned tasks and duties of limited complexity and scope; supporting designated software package(s), business solution(s), or program(s) of work independently or under the general direction of a Developer II, Senior Developer, or Manager. The Developer I through identification, analysis, synthesis, technical specifications, and solution development based on customer and business needs, industry best practices and available technology. The Developer I will work across multiple departments and functions to develop technical solutions based on functional, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system, serving as a technical expert, providing the technical knowledge in their area of expertise of the system or under the guidance of the Senior Developer to ensure the solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.
Work Schedule: Travel to multiple sites and locations. Work protracted or irregular hours and evening meetings, or unusual hours for meeting attendance or participation in specific projects or programs.

Essential Functions Statements
• Primary function: Uses analytical, data and SQL development skills to produce reports to support the Business in making data driven business decisions. Includes producing both ad-hoc and regularly scheduled reports. Reviews data to ensure validity.
• Under the technical direction of more senior developers, works with Business Systems Analysts, Business Stakeholders, vendors, and solutions partners to develop solutions for operational and ad-hoc reporting, ETL, data driven business decisions support, and systems integration.
• Develop SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views and triggers to be used during the development lifecycle and ETL process. Implement processes and logic to extract, transform, and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources.
• Provides analysis and development support for initiatives, including business function support for system migrations and consolidations, business area process improvement projects, and product installations
• Consumes departmental business system requirements and business systems design documents, customer acceptance test plans, and post-implementation plans.
• Works directly with external customers or in collaboration with the Senior Developers in implementing new reporting capabilities, systems enhancements and technology. Work with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Review of use cases and test cases.
• Executes system testing.

• Perform and execute data extraction, transformation and loading using ETL tools.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: A degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering
• Or any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Experience:
• 1 plus years of experience in building data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and/or Synapse
• 1 plus years of experience in SQL development-developing and designing applications and/or reports on SQL server 2014+

Technical Skills:
• Hands-on experience in writing T-SQL queries, Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, Jobs, Cursors, Views and Triggers, optimized for database efficiency.
• Designing, configuring, and managing ADF and Synapse pipelines to orchestrate data workflows.
• Implementing different types of activities such as Copy Activity, Data Flow, Databricks Activity, and Control Flow activities.
• Configuring linked services to connect to various data stores and defining datasets for data structures.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD is a must.
• Should have clear understanding of DW lifecycle and contribute in preparing Design documents, Unit Test plans, Code review reports
Preferred Experience:
• Experience with various programming and scripting languages (JAVA, RPG, C, XSLT, various. NET languages, Python, JavaScript, shell script...)
• Modeling tools such as Toad Data Modeler, Erwin or Embarcadero
