The Role

Lark is seeking a talented Technical Project Manager to drive cross-functional projects, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders and TPMs. In this role, you will work closely with the software development and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable products. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenges of working in a fast-paced start-up environment. The right candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and technical skills. You will work with the Senior Technical Project Manager directly and all the stakeholders to develop schedules, manage risks and mitigation plans to ensure the timely completion of projects by meeting project milestones.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Scrum Ceremonies: Facilitate team stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint demos, and retros, guiding the team in agile practices and continuous improvement.
  • Project Planning: Develop and manage team level project plans, timelines, and resources. Work with the scrum team leads to forecast capacity to ensure realistic planning and resource allocation. Ensure project transparency and progress by partnering with the product manager to update the team roadmap.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product and engineering managers to stay updated on team project progress, providing stakeholders with regular roadmap updates and weekly RYG status reports. Facilitate cross-team collaboration and ensure clear communication and teamwork.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Partner with team leads to identify and mitigate risks and issues to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Participate in the on-call project manager rotation for urgent escalations.
  • Team Process Improvements and Tracking: Evaluate team performance to identify process improvements and provide feedback on best practices, maintaining and updating reports and status updates at the team level. The Senior Technical Project Manager manages higher-level tracking.

What You’ll Need

  • Knowledge and practical experience in structured project management & application development processes, specifically in Agile methodologies (Scrum)
  • Familiarity with tools required to manage complex projects (i.e. Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience developing project management skills and capabilities within software engineering teams
  • Understanding of working in startups and their release patterns
  • Flexibility, comfort without sufficient resources, and the ability to wear many hats
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders and executives
  • Prior experience in software engineering/integrations/professional services is a strong plus
  • CSM/PSM/PMP certification is preferred, but not required
