About the Job
The tribe Sales Steering is the single (data) point of truth for steering the sales activities of Allianz on the German market. It is our mission to meet the changing requirements of steering sales activities by providing modern, harmonized, user-friendly and digital solutions. Thereby, individual sales targets can be reached efficiently. We are looking for a BI expert (m/f/d) who runs and develops sales data marts self-dependently.
The position is part of an agile product team within the tribe sales steering. Spoken language is German. The tribe belongs to Allianz Kunde und Markt GmbH. The chapter sales steering which is part of Allianz Technology is where the position is anchored functionally.
What you do
- Processing Jira tickets together with business analysts: data model extensions, database-related programming, adjustments to ETL process (tool: biGenius), versioning in Github, specifications for automation
- Carrying out general SI tests (monitoring job chains, providing test data)
- Creation of new interfaces and maintenance of existing interfaces in BIBS (scripts, programs, technical tables, job transfer to implementation using Plandocs)
- Passing on the specifications for new creation and addition/maintenance of ATOS tables to the responsible departments
- Supporting, participating in and testing upgrades and migrations of databases via which FIVAB obtains data or to which FIVAB sends data
- Support/maintenance of FIV data deliveries to subsequent systems, e.g. VVW, commissions
- Processing incidents and creating changes, e.g. for month-end closing
- Regular (approximately monthly) takeover of early services (FIV, BIBSVS) and shift services at the end of the month
What you bring
- Degree in computer science / scientific / technical studies or comparable training
- Several years of professional experience
- Very good knowledge of SQL
- Very good database knowledge (Exasol, Oracle, DB2)
- Solid experience in database design and data modeling, willing to acquire knowledge in Snowflake development
- Confident handling of build pipeline tools (GitHub, Jenkins)
- Confident with automation processes and monitoring job chains
- Willingness to work early shifts and weekends
- Experience in agile working and with associated tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Office)
- Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- Independent, team-oriented work
- Strong communication skills and high customer orientation
- Strong sense of quality and responsibility
- Language skills: German (B2) and good English skills (B2)
