Job Description

Are you passionate about data engineering, software development, and security? Join our dynamic Data Platform team as a Software Engineer! You’ll build and optimize data platforms, enhance developer tooling, and strengthen security measures.

What You’ll Do:

As a Software Engineer in the Data Platform team, you'll focus on building and optimizing data platforms, improving developer tooling, and enhancing our security measures. This role requires a broad skill set to navigate complex projects, employing problem-solving skills, data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to quality in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop high-quality software and platform solutions using a variety of programming languages and technologies.
  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment phases of projects.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Develop and optimize Kafka tooling for improved developer experiences.
  • Implement and maintain security measures across our data platform and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and data science teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in software engineering with experience in data platform technologies and building scalable, secure applications.
  • Proficiency with event-driven architecture and systems, including Kafka or similar event streaming platforms.
  • Professional experience with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, AWS CDK or Terraform, SQL databases (e.g., Postgres), and cloud ecosystems (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Solid experience with the overall SDLC process for data products, including building Docker images, provisioning infrastructure, CI/CD, and clean code best practices.
  • Working knowledge of big data technologies, data warehousing on cloud platforms, and ELT processes.
  • Keen interest in contributing to MLOps strategies and ML API development.
