Job description

We encourage you to apply to Reapra’s very unique Alternative Venture Building (AVB) Management Program if you are: (1) curious about participating in a fun and engaging self-discovery process to give some long-term direction in your career path, (2) enthusiastic about the startup space but want to try something completely new, and (3) interested in co-creating novel systems and frameworks of learning within venture building activities.

Your traineeship will entail a discernment process called Intensive Foundation Design where you will use a model of self-understanding as a personal blueprint to enhance your learning and work throughout the project tasks and think about your own career options in the future. After completion of Foundation Design, you will dive right into a very dynamic, fast-changing set of project-related tasks while building new types of venture communities along the way.

As part of the AVB Management Program, you will take on a generalist role and rotate among and collaborate on various projects. This includes co-creating novel forms of sourcing and recruitment of potential founders, community-building initiatives designed to connect Reapra stakeholders and interested third parties, people development to catalyze their journey into becoming a founder, organizational strategy development along multiple timeframes, and research and practice initiatives to support all key activities, to name a few.

Responsibilities:
  • Co-develop or support PR, marketing, and other market outreach activities such as community development for Reapra brand awareness of its unique venture building approach and attracting potential founders
  • Co-develop, execute and constantly iterate new systems to increase the quality of founder sourcing in and around Singapore and possibly other markets
  • Organize events and meetings involving potential candidates in and around Singapore or other target markets
  • Co-organizing strategic structures, agenda, other activities and events to support short to mid-term organizational goals
  • Conduct research on broad topics of interest related to Reapra’s Mission and Vision such as well-being, business success, social contribution, historical identity of orgranizations and the science of learning.
  • Project P&L management/co-management
  • Other new projects or support activities that trainee may co-develop with Reapra stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: Be comfortable without set tasks and willing to contribute across various functions, from 'sourcing' to marketing to admin and finance tasks.
  • Background Requirements: Entrepreneurial mindset with the potential to become a founder using novel approaches building ventures.
  • Work Experience: Preferably a business background with interdisciplinary elements (e.g. organizational and individual psychology, human systems innovation, philosophy, other special academic topics) especially in a small company or startup. Former startup founders/entrepreneurs and graduates with similar backgrounds looking to engage these new approaches are also welcome to apply.
