GCG Automation & Factory Solutions is currently seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead transformative projects that directly impact the efficiency and reliability of energy distribution systems for our customers in manufacturing.
As our Technical Project Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving complex switchgear and power distribution projects from conception to completion, leveraging your expertise in electrical equipment and project management methodologies. You'll collaborate with diverse, experienced teams to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of our manufacturing clients.

Based on the location of customers and sales staff this position would support, we are seeking candidates for this position in the eastern OH or western PA area. The individual in the role would be expected to travel approximately 30% of the time between Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, and Cranberry Township, PA. When not engaged in work related travel to visit a customer or one of our vendors, this position would provide the opportunity to work from home / remotely.
What you’ll do
- Orchestrate complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource utilization
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to align project goals with business objectives
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans that drive results and meet industry standards
- Serve as the primary client liaison, fostering strong relationships and ensuring project success
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
- Prepare and present detailed project reports, highlighting key performance metrics and milestones
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the project team
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- Proven track record in managing industrial sector / manufacturing equipment implementation projects, particularly in power distribution
- In-depth knowledge of power distribution equipment and emerging technologies
- Mastery of project management methodologies and software tools
- Strategic planning and risk mitigation capabilities
- Cross-functional team leadership experience
- Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance in the power industry
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Adaptability and resilience in a rapidly evolving technological landscape
