Position Overview
The Accounting Producer will manage the planning andlearning curriculum for Becker’s “Accounting for the Future” podcast series, working closely with Becker’s CPE Curriculum, Video Production, and Marketing teams to launch a series of podcasts focused on key topics in the accounting industry, including Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Industry Transformation, the Culture of Accounting, the impact of technology on the profession and the evolving technical landscape of accounting. 

What You'll Do
  • Research ideas for new podcasts and vet with Becker’s cross-functional podcast Steering Committee. 
  • Conduct research on our competitors and help shape our short-term and long-term strategy for podcast delivery to our markets. 
  • Recruit podcast hosts and guests and liaise with them and with Becker colleagues to create and manage the recording and production schedule. 
  • Work with hosts and presenters to prepare them for the interview and make sure they have what they need to feel comfortable and well-prepared; ensure that both audio and visual set-up is of the highest quality. 
  • Interview presenters when required. 
  • Review all content recordings and instruct the Video Production team on what to cut and/or rearrange to ensure a compelling storyline; suggest & review any visuals (graphics, stock footage, etc.) needed for the video version of each podcast. 
  • Write copy for each episode. Because this is an educational podcast that will be available for CPE on our platform, this will include: episode descriptions, quiz questions, glossary terms, visual aid, etc. 
  • Coordinate with Curriculum and Video Production to transform audio podcasts into visual CPE courses with assessment questions that are uploaded to our LMS.  
  • Coordinate with Becker’s Marketing and Video Production teams on podcast intros, outros, descriptions, presenter biographies, and other marketing collateral as needed, and ensure that podcasts are published to all relevant channels. 

  • What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business, finance and/or accounting preferred. 
  • CPA required 
  • Podcast production experience a plus 
  • 5+ years expertise in Taxation, Accounting/Auditing and/or Corporate Finance 
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects 
  • Strong organizational and resource management skills 
  • Strong project management background that enables you to work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality 
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills to ensure positive and productive relationships with presenters and colleagues
