Job description

The Opportunity

Sitetracker is looking for an Instructional Designer to join the EDU Customer Enablement Team. As an Instructional Designer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with some of the most forward-thinking companies and make a meaningful impact to the industries we service. This is a role within the Sitetracker Customer Enablement team which provides services to the customers and reports to the Certification Manager.

In this role, you will leverage your knowledge of enterprise software education program planning, customer education training needs, change management protocols, and training delivery, cloud technologies (preferably with Salesforce). Expert-level design and delivery for ILT, WBT, and On Demand training programs. You will work closely with our Certification, Customer Success, EDS (Enhancement, Development, and Support), and Product teams to onboard our customers, support Sitetracker Certification, and ensure employees, customers, and partners achieve success on the Sitetracker platform.

The Skill Set:
  • Demonstrated history of planning and delivering SaaS enterprise customer education rollouts (especially on force.com)
  • Background as a lead instructor and curriculum designer for role-based end-user training
  • Ability to expertly design and deliver ILT and WBT training offerings (samples required)
  • Relevant history in end user, train the trainer, certification workshop, and new release training
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients
  • Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessment
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS)
  • Writes scripts for video and audio content
  • Works with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users
  • Develops and designs courses and curriculum
  • Edits and develops online learning materials
  • Designs learning activities, assignments, and assessments
  • Creates computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards
  • Develops instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools
  • Manages online learning communities
  • Analyzes, updates, and refines existing online content
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize schedules
  • Able to travel domestically (15-20%)

  • Within 60 Days, You’ll:
  • Monitor and learn the existing Sitetracker application by participating in the Sitetracker Certification program, and existing customer training events, and shadow and support current training initiatives
  • Leverage independent study with Sitetracker EDU to review education articles and videos to learn the OOTB product
  • Co-teach training events, where applicable
  • Leverage existing experience to identify areas of improvement within the existing process
  • Understand the product and its features enough to demo the product to someone else on the team
  • You will become Salesforce Administrator certified.

  • Within 180 Days, You’ll:
  • Develop sufficient technical knowledge of the Sitetracker platform to collaborate design ideas with solution architects on best practices/approaches based on user experience
  • Guide the Sitetracker Implementation team on Education activities and offerings to best support a customer rollout
  • Deliver bespoke customer training and Sitetracker Certification course(s) to customers
  • Provide feedback to the project and product teams on application and design enhancements based on client interactions/feedback.
  • Train customers on out-of-the-box functionality.
  • Load course content into an LMS.
  • Maintain projects and organize course documents 
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts for lesson planning

  • Within 365 Days, You’ll:
  • Identify expanded Education Offerings to span the prospect and customer lifecycle
  • Develop a strong understanding of each of the verticals Sitetracker works with, being able to communicate solutions for the specific challenges customers in those verticals face
  • Develop or update Stietracker training materials that include sound instructional design methodology including presentations, instructor and participant guides, classroom activities, practice exercises, and handouts.
  • Identify user needs, analyze and logically organize complex technical information, and transform complex topics of information into professionally designed, engaging, and effective programs.
  • The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

    For Colorado based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $72,000 to $90000.
