Summary

Join our team as a Substation Designer, where you’ll spearhead the design of critical infrastructure for renewable energy projects. In this role, you'll focus on creating efficient substations that enhance the integration of solar power into the grid. Be part of a pioneering team dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions!

The position is located in Eden Prairie, MN. Hybrid or remote location considered.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Provide construction document production support
• Coordinate with various design team disciplines including civil engineers, structural engineers, and surveyors
• Utilize AutoCAD and MicroStation to create construction documents and perform quantity takeoffs. Construction documents will include site layouts, wire/cable routing plans, single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, construction details, equipment, and conduit details, etc.
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of EVS design/CAD standards and provide input for improvement
  
  

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in the drafting/design of electrical power/distribution systems
• Must have proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience and knowledge of basic electrical design concepts
• Working knowledge and ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Must have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Must be a supportive team member, able to work in a collaborative environment
• Must be self-motivated with an ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
