Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, IFC, Sundance TV and WE tv; and film distribution labels IFC Films and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking a Marketing Strategy Manager to join our brand strategy team based in our New York, New York headquarters.

JOB SUMMARY 

 

Reporting to the Director, Brand and Marketing Strategy, the ideal candidate must be passionate about television with the ability to collaborate with both internal and external teams driving to linear and streaming goals. The candidate will be a part of a marketing team implementing 360 marketing strategies associated with the launch and exploitation of original and acquired content, as well as brand campaigns for AMC Networks 

 

The successful candidate must be experienced and interested in strategic planning and campaign development, with a familiarity of multi-platform campaigns, including television, print, OOH, social and digital, and marketing/promotional collateral. They must have an understanding of marketing KPIs and an ability to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.  We look for people who are dynamic, collaborative, hardworkingand love TV. 

 

This person must understand how to move projects forward that involve multiple teams and be able to interface productively with colleagues. Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple situations concurrently and independently 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work with the broader team in developing go-to-market strategies for various AMCN series and brands across digital, social, linear, and experiential channels 

  • Develop strategic briefs and decks for campaigns with collaboration from internal departments and external agencies  

  • Work in tandem with Brand lead to ensure brand positioning, messaging, and visual consistency across all touchpoints  

  • Ensure that all marketing and promotion plans are executed in a timely and efficient manner, overseeing the execution of approved owned and paid media plans  

  • Communicate campaign progress and updates across teams and leadership  

  • Various marketing admin responsibilities, as necessary   

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred) 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience, working with traditional and digital media; experience in TV or streaming marketing, a plus  

  • Understanding of the performance marketing space  

  • Experience with paid Facebook, Twitter, and other social media buys 

  • Understanding of strategic branding issues and positioning 

  • Understanding of print design, TV production, and relevant terminology 

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 

  • A resourceful nature, with the ability to get things done independently  

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint requiredKnowledge of Airtable a plus.   

  • Creative yet results oriented, with high personal drive and commitment  

  • Open-minded, not afraid of challenges and learning new things 

The base compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience.
