Title: Compliance Intern – Emerging Development Program
Dates: Summer 2025 – June 2, 2025, to August 8, 2025
Work Location: Remote

Positions: We are posting two Compliance Intern positions, but each with a different target audience. One is for our Early Development Program, meaning for students who anticipate graduating in December 2026 or after. The other position, Emerging Professional Program, is for students who anticipate graduating December 2025 or May 2026. Please only apply to one of them.
Emerging Professional Program (EPP)
An internship path focused on equipping graduating students with the tools/skills needed to transition into a potential career at TruStage. Interns receive comprehensive support and guidance to enhance their company knowledge, integrate into the company culture, and developing key connections. This pathway enables young professionals to be considered for potential opportunities at TruStage.
Job Purpose:
This role is designed to provide hands on experience in the implementation of policies, standards and best practices within the Legal, Risk and Compliance department. The role of the analyst is to ensure all communications comply with federal and state regulatory standards. Candidates will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a classroom environment while gaining new skills in a dynamic professional setting.
Candidates will assist members of the Compliance team with key objectives, initiatives and projects. This role requires critical attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, self-motivation, and resourcefulness to identify potential issues, ask good questions, research and investigate options, and work collaboratively to identify and implement workable solutions.
Job Responsibilities:

- Under the guidance of a more senior team member, support the overall function and the overall business objectives, for processes and activities, which may include researching new or revised regulations; taking action to implement policies, procedures, processes and forms to support a business line; communicating changes; participating in periodic audits and compliance reviews.
- Partner with the team, attend meetings and utilize opportunities to work on cross functional teams.
- Help implement solutions by reviewing data and communicating clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners.
- Assist with business cases, organizing requirements, translating, and simplifying requirements and requirements analysis.
- Analysts may also use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests and manage a project’s scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment.
- Participate in preparation of regulatory filings and/or forms.

Preferred Experience:
- Must be currently enrolled in a relevant graduate program (salary range is $24-$33 /hr.) or undergraduate program (salary range is $18-$28/hr.), working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Insurance, legal or related field; or have equivalent trade-off of related professional work experience.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- intellectual curiosity and the desire to learn and apply understandings to effect sound design of sound procedures.
- Ability to work independently, work in a team environment, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality as required.
