Available locations: This position is open to candidates in Brazil and India (Bengaluru, Chennai & Pune).

Responsibilities:

• Design and build camera instrumentation architecture for prototype vehicle test fleets.
• Develop camera sensing architecture for data collection used to train AI algorithms.
• Create camera block diagrams, select integrated circuits, and implement communication strategies for board-level and ECU communication protocols (I2C, SPI, MIPI CSI2, LVDS, CAN, Ethernet).
• Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to identify sensor components, perform benchmarking, and execute proof of concepts (PoCs).
• Configure, integrate, and calibrate camera systems into vehicles for data collection.
• Work closely with the Stellantis Software Organization (SWX) to develop high-quality datasets for AI algorithm development.
• Contribute to the creation of AI solutions for environmental perception and path planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field.
• Experience in camera system design, integration, and calibration.
• Hands-on prototyping and building experience across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
• Practical mindset with a can-do attitude.

Preferred:

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience in automotive electronics, data collection, and networking.
• Proficiency in tools like CAD, Vector Canoe, Python, C++, ROS, Wireshark, and Linux command line.
• Passion for autonomous vehicles and robotics.
