Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, enhance and implement solutions for Microsoft systems (primarily cloud platforms) including but not limited to Defender for Endpoint, Azure Landing Zones, Sentinel, Intune and Purview.
• Leverage Microsoft platforms and automation practices to enable a highly automated deployment and operational support methods for these technologies at scale.
• Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders both internally and externally to Data#3 including nominated sub-contractors especially in the Design and Development stages of each solution.
• Adhere to development standards set and industry best practices in software development.
• Ensure alignment with ‘good industry practice’ in terms of coding principles and the toolsets used in development.
• Use a security first design principle in all areas of the work performed.
• Develop and maintain design documentation for end users and internal stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain, and ensure accuracy of technical documentation, including design documents, deployment guides, and user manuals.
• Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date with any changes to the system or deployment processes.
• Ensure every section of code/script created contains notes that describe the function being performed, its purpose and how the code operates utilizing logical plain and simple language.
• Offer technical support for the code base developed and in use by operational teams and customers.
• Stay informed of emerging Microsoft technologies and propose strategies for their incorporation to enhance solution development.
• Assist in the creation and development of reusable intellectual property (IP).


Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft solutions, including but not limited to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Azure Landing Zones, Sentinel, Purview, and Intune.
  • Strong background in utilizing FastTrack services, automation scripts, and tools for efficient deployment of Microsoft solutions.
  • Proven expertise in DevOps practices, specifically in leveraging CI/CD pipelines and managing code repositories.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a software developer in an IT development environment, working with diverse technologies.
  • Solid experience in Agile (Scrum) methodologies, terminologies, and tools.
  • Proficiency in test-driven development, multi-threaded, and asynchronous coding practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide advanced Level 3 technical support to both internal teams and external clients.

Skills:

  • Strong automation skills, particularly in the deployment of Microsoft solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, ensuring clear, precise, and effective interaction with stakeholders and clients.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, with a focus on quality assurance and risk management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working with stakeholders of varying technical proficiency.

Abilities:

  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders effectively, end users, and clients across different organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of Microsoft solution deployments and technical support.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, with the capability to describe, adapt, and implement them effectively.

Certifications:

  • One or more of the following certifications is highly desirable:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
    • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
