Join a global business as an Infrastructure all rounder! This is a fully remote position, but you also have the option to work in our CBD office near Rondo Daszyńskiego, Warsaw. In this position you will perform a mix of Systems Engineering and Network Engineering. You will design and implement IT systems to support the enterprise infrastructure and ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels. There are several major projects upcoming, of which you'll play a major part in.


Trustwave is a leading Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) that services small and medium enterprise level customers across industry sectors. Due to growth, we have a requirement for a skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer to join the IT Operations team.

The IT Operations team is the division that develops and maintains office networks, public cloud infrastructure, and supports observability and management systems in corporate environments to support our internal customer applications.


The Senior System Administrator / System Engineer will operate as the most senior member of the team in region, taking responsibility for delivering technology projects, and acting as an escalation point to resolve complex requests.

The role offers a great deal of variety in your work, and a hybrid working environment.


Typical duties will include:

  • Project Management: Scope, plan, and execute IT projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Projects - Office moves, server migrations, on-prem to Cloud, datacentre moves, new applications, integrations.
  • System Administration: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Servers, Exchange, O365 and Active Directory environments.
  • Network Solutions: Provide support for LAN/WAN solutions, including firewalls, VPN, VLANs, and WiFi.
  • Technical Support: Provide Level 3 support and manage technical escalations, resolving complex issues effectively.
  • Procurement: Manage Relationships with Vendors, understand international shipping of IT assets and maintain inventory of corporate assets within local jurisdiction.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Work with a Global IT team to support a large multi-country infrastructure and cloud system


Technical Qualifications:


The ideal candidate has minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience of applicable products and tools and can demonstrate working knowledge of the following areas:

  • Proficient with Latest Azure technologies such as Intune Suite and Defender for Cloud
  • Solid AWS/Azure skills - previous experience migrating from on-prem to Cloud required
  • Proficient at using best practices for the implementation of services for public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledgeable in Automation techniques and tools using infrastructure-as-code tools and configuration management systems.
  • Proficient in PowerShell/Bash Scripting.
  • Knowledgeable in Security concepts and tools such as encryption (TLS, SSL, etc.), identity and credential management (IAM, Vault, SSO, etc.).
  • Sound experience and understanding of networking - Configure routers, switches, TCP/IP concepts, DNS etc
  • Proficient at building Highly available, secure, and scalable systems/environments.
  • Proficient at Troubleshooting of on-premise and cloud technologies.
  • Basic Understanding of NIX Commands


Additional desirable experience and skills in the following areas:

  • Experience with SAML/OAuth Authentication registration
  • Expertise across the Microsoft suite of products - Windows OS, O365, Active Directory, Windows Servers, Exchange and Hyper-V.
  • Expertise with SharePoint Online Administration and Management tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform
  • Knowledge of Microsoft CAF & Azure ESLZ
  • Microsoft Identity Management (MIM/PAM)
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Understanding of Remote-Control tools such as JAMF for Mac
  • Understanding in Network systems such as Cisco or Fortinet

  • Familiarity with the security industry is desirable but not required
  • Management Ability. Ability to lead engineers and give constructive feedback.
  • Excellent judgment. Ability to determine actual needs vs. stated needs of the business. Ability to work with business units and synthesize infrastructure requirements from application needs.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting skills - able to diagnose and resolve issues quickly
  • Excellent customer service skills. Ability to develop relationships with business units and be perceived as a solution partner.
  • Good project management skills. The ability to take a large initiative and break it down into sub-tasks and understand dependencies. The ability to manage that plan through to completion.
  • Willingness to occasionally work scheduled night/weekend times.


Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus.
