About the role:
Modular is building a next-generation AI infrastructure platform that unifies the many application frameworks and hardware backends, simplifying deployment for AI production teams and accelerating innovation for AI researchers and hardware developers.
We are looking for a developer advocate to evangelize Modular’s GPU products with our user base and developer community. This role will have a strong emphasis on creating engaging technical content for our video and social channels, but will also involve creating user guides, writing blog posts, giving talks at conferences, leading workshops, and engaging with a highly-technical community of AI Engineers.

LOCATION: Candidates based in the US or Canada are welcome to apply. You can work remotely from home. This role will require travel to industry events and community meetups.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to create informative tutorials, explainers, and examples that help users understand how MAX and Mojo can leverage GPU power to achieve their goals efficiently.
- Build out our community engagement channels, including video and other social platforms, with engaging and informative technical content.
- Develop and create educational content to inform both prospective and current customers about the value and functionality of Modular products.
- Experiment with and test early versions of our developer tools to ensure they meet user needs and expectations.
- Act as the voice of the developer community by providing feedback to engineering and product teams, shaping the future of the MAX framework.
- Represent Modular at conferences, summits, and industry events through presentations, panel discussions, and networking with industry professionals.
- Contribute to Modular’s broader developer relations, product, and marketing strategies.
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for ML engineers and practitioners interested in the MAX framework and Mojo programming language.
- Engage with the community across platforms like GitHub, Discord, Twitter, and LinkedIn by facilitating discussions, answering questions, and providing support.
What you bring to the table:
- 5+ years of experience in developer relations or as a software/AI developer.
- Experience with AI infrastructure products and platforms such as Triton Inference Server, PyTorch, TensorRT, VertexAI, and Sagemaker, with a focus on GPU acceleration.
- A proven ability to produce high-quality technical content, with a focus on video, for a technical audience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to quickly understand, synthesize, simplify complex concepts.
- A passion for staying current with industry trends and developments.
- A growth and leadership mindset, with a collaborative attitude that seeks to learn more from our customers, team members, and the broader market.
- Experience with programming Python or C++, and an understanding of GPU acceleration.
- Experience in participating actively at conferences and events, including delivering talks, conducting workshops, and facilitating community development sessions is a plus.
The estimated base salary range for this role to be performed in the US, regardless of the state, is $135,000.00 - $242,000.00 USD.
The estimated base salary range for this role to be performed in Canada, regardless of the province, is $127,500.00 - $228,500.00 CAD.
The salary for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of permissible, non-discriminatory job-related factors, which include but are not limited to education, training, work experience, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future. The total compensation for a candidate will also include annual target bonus, equity, and benefits, with equity making up a significant portion of your total compensation.
