The role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This role will have responsibility for assuring that the delivered vehicles meet our expected quality, technical and performance levels.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll support with the planning and developing of new improved processes to ensure failures are minimised within the vehicle production operation.

 

  • Reviewing and creating processes within the project to assure we fulfil the customer requirements and alignment with the global business management system
  • Planning for future projects by understanding the customer requirements and implementing into our process and systems
  • Working collaboratively with all operational teams and land projects, ensuring interfaces are working and there is a cohesive approach across the Project Team to establish a culture of collaboration, evaluation and improvement
  • Providing quality control guidance to the project team, customer and suppliers


This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home. Travel to supplier, and customer sites on an occasional basis may be required.

 

Essential experience of the Quality Assurance Engineer:

  • A team player with a keen eye for detail and a desire to deliver excellence in a demanding high tempo production environment
  • Understanding of the customer context and requirements with regards to quality control, assurance, evaluation and improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience of representing the business at a senior level for both customer and internal key business meetings
  • Exceptional engineering skills demonstrating collaborative working and leadership and strong performance management of assigned operatives
  • Automotive and/or defence industry experience

 

Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Engineer:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
