Summary

 

As a ​Batch Programmer Developer (UNIX/C/SQL) at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities. You will use your programming and analytical skills to drive the development of healthcare administration products used, and relied upon, by millions of patients. Your role in our mission

 

Take a close look at some of the details that contribute to Gainwell’s industry-leading tools and technologies in this challenging position. 

 

  • Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately complex programs
  • Analyze, design and write specs and reqs from which we develop and code programs 
  • Evaluate existing systems and programs; assist project the manager in assigning tasks and work closely with a team 
  • Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements and resolve issues that arise
  • Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews
  • Participate as a member of a development team and lead a small sub-team of developers as needed
  • Design system components and delegate responsibilities to team members
What we're looking for

 

  • 3+ more years of experience working in C/Unix Linux Systems. 
  • Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, complex SQL work experience and query tuning expertise. 
  • Experience working with Rules Engine would be a plus and BPA Rules Sheets.
  • Expertise in Batch job automation and notification services.
  • Java and/or .NET experience is a plus.
  • Healthcare/Medicaid work experience is a plus.

  • Considering applicants who live within a 50 mile radius of Tallahassee, FL and able to be onsite in the office as needed

  • Also considering applicants who can telecommute - work from home 100% anywhere in the USA . 

  • Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)
  • Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States

  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
