ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fast-paced and high-autonomy position for a true sales professional with a strong strategic mind-set.  
You will have deep experience in Coffee, Coffee-Adjacent or CPG sales and be a successful Territory Manager or Business Development Manager ready to make the next step.  You are responsible for a go-to market strategy that will land new accounts, increase customer loyalty, improve account retention, build distribution growth, and improve company profitability.  You will actively prospect and close new accounts, while continuing to build relationships with existing customers, distributors and partners across the cafe channel. You will oversee the management and development of the On-Premise Territory and Area Sales Representatives in the East region.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

As Regional Sales Manager, East, please see an example of duties below, but don't feel you're limited to them. Let's run through them:



  • Owning the long and short-term strategic priorities for the territory within the café and on-premise channel

  • With the DOS, developing a regional annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and business objectives 

  • Acting on and supporting opportunities generated by the Director of National Accounts

  • Developing leads into opportunities by nurturing relationships, understanding customer problems, and assisting current and new customers to understand the value of the Minor Figures brand 

  • Opening new accounts and manage sales from prospecting to close; determine the ideal route to market (direct or via distributors) to best meet the needs of customers and brand goals

  • Sharing a passion for this mission with customers, ensuring they focus on our brand and create advocacy

  • Maintaining sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors 

  • Conducting regular internal and external reviews to discuss accounts, new opportunities, customer issues, competition, industry updates, and new products

  • Collaborating with the Marketing Team on merchandising and product strategies for increased sales in the café channel 

  • Promoting positive relations with staff, partners, and vendors 

  • Building relationships with distribution partners, from the headquarter level to street level

  • Utilizing internal tools for forecasting (Modus) and account management (Copper)

  • Aligning to a One-Team-One-Dream mentality, supporting more traditional on-premise and retail account opportunities as needed

  • Manage the development, growth and support for the On-Premise Territory and Area Sales Representatives in the East region.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM

You’ll be reporting to the Director of Sales. Our sales team is broken up into 3 channels; On Premise (cafe/ restaurants), Foodservice, and Off Premise (retail/ grocery). We are all coffee people and are very immersed in the coffee community nationwide but we are equally as passionate about all of our customers and segments of business! You will be expected to remotely manage, support, and guide (currently) 3 Territory & Area Sales Representatives in your region.


Although the entire team is remote we are a very close knit bunch. We might be a small team but we truly believe in our product and know how to speak the language of coffee. We like to build lasting relationships within our team as well as with our customers.

For this role, we'd love for you to be based in Texas, where you'll be spending the majority of your time in this role.


Some core skills needed:


  • Relevant sales & business development experience within the Cafe channel 

  • Deep knowledge of the area/geography in the region

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and deep understanding of early-stage business

  • Strong experience in developing, owning and driving market-level KPIs at various levels of an end client.

  • Highly organized around project // time management

  • Adept and comfortable in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)

  • Strong communication and analytical skills


Due to this job being active within the field, there are some physical job requirements 

  • Able to be in the field of up to 5-days per week 

  • Able to travel overnight, up to 25%, for trade shows, company meetings, or sales related activity etc.

  • Reliable means to get to and from client locations

  • Willing and able to move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for various needs

YOUR COMMITMENT

As the job title entails, you’ll be ideally based in the East. This is where most of our current customers and action is. There will be occasional travel for events. 


The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00am- 5:00pm with flexibility for trade shows and other work related travel that may occur on weekends.
