Job Description Summary
As Sr. Financial Systems Analyst, you will be a key member of the Finance Operations and Systems (FOS) team. The FOS team collaborates across functions, sharing responsibilities for implementing, maintaining, modifying, improving, and governing financial accounting, planning, and reporting systems. Our goal is to ensure accurate recognition and reporting of financial activities. As a business partner to the Global Finance organization, the FOS team provides training, resolves issues, and plays a crucial role in influencing integration and continuous improvement projects.

This role provides both process and technology support for Global Finance systems including SAP, BI/BW, JDE, BPC and Power BI.  This role works directly with the finance community to understand business needs, create and deliver solutions, ensure data integrity and train users.  Additionally, this position will be responsible for identifying potential process improvements and working with users to understand and realize those benefits.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Coordinate projects, working with different teams to meet project timelines

  • Work closely with the IT organization to resolve technical data issues in a timely manner

  • Develop, troubleshoot, and support global Finance reporting through SAP BPC planning tool, SAP Business Warehouse (BI/BW) and Power BI

  • Facilitate month-end close:  End user support and troubleshoot issues in ERP environments and reporting environments

  • Provide Analysis and Audit information in SAP BPC planning tool, SAP Business Warehouse (BI/BW), Power BI, Atlas, and other systems as necessary

  • Become the subject matter data expert in all areas of Finance by understanding the data and flow from system to system

  • Serve as the control point for Finance BPC, Power BI, BI/BW, Atlas, and other system reports, IM tickets, master data and security profiles/training

  • Proactively learn new technology and train finance user community

  • Liaise with IT and end users to resolve issues, maintain systems and applications and implement break fixes

  • Liaise between IT and Business by developing detailed business user requirements, system documentation, training and workflow procedures for projects and Continuous Improvement efforts

  • Develop and deliver training to support and develop Finance end users

About You:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or Information Systems (required)

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant Finance/Accounting/Auditing/ Data Science experience in which 2 years of experience were also focused in Systems admin, end user support of Financial systems or related experience.  In lieu of 5 years relevant Finance/Accounting/Auditing experience, 3 years relevant BD experience and participation in a development program such as the FLDP, EDGE, KFALDP, etc.

  • System implementation or big data experience a plus

  • Ability to quickly adapt, learn new systems, new concepts, connecting the link between different processes and tools, and applying them as needed

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including training and presentation skills

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to logically think through complex accounting/system issues to identify solutions

  • Ability to perform big data analytics sets and identify discrepancies or variances

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred:

  • Direct SAP/BW/BPC/JDE/PowerBI experience

  • Financial, analytical and detailed business understanding and related reporting in various Finance areas, including Auditing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Intercompany and Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting

  • Ability to travel (15%) – BD offices, Training courses (including several weeks early in assignment)
