Job Description Summary
As User Interface and Experience Designer, Homecare, you will lead digital graphic design, user experience, and user interface strategy and execution for Home Care’s direct-to-consumer team. The individual in this role must have the ability to create compelling, high-quality, user-friendly graphic design that drives positive business outcomes, using modern design programs such as Figma.
The individual in this role must have mid-senior level experience in digital graphic design, ideally for performance marketing-based companies. This role will require frequent collaboration with business owners, IT, and cross-functional teams to develop a deep understanding of the Home Care product portfolio and digital sales channels. Primary responsibilities include e-commerce website design, banner design, email design, user flows (Figma, Vizio, or similar), wireframing, and A/B testing. Candidates must include a link in their resume showcasing their portfolios.

BD Home Care Business:

The Home Care business within BD is unique in that it can manufacture products for consumers in the home and service them through our medical distribution subsidiary, Liberator Medical.  This business unit engages with a variety of stakeholders that range from B2B2C and leverages omni-channels to drive awareness, engagement, conversion, and retention of our customers.  The mission of the Home Care business is to deliver clinically superior solutions for people with chronic bladder conditions in their pursuit of normality and independence.  Solutions include both products and services to support customers through their entire journey.      

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work within the BD Home Care direct-to-consumer team to deliver best-in-class digital creative experiences

  • Lead digital commerce user interface strategy and execution, developing and preparing assets for handoff to IT delivery team

  • Translate business requirements and creative briefs into compelling, performance-oriented designs that help improve business KPI

  • Generate design concepts and ideas based on business problems in collaboration with marketing team and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Design brand new interfaces and iterations for the PureWick direct-to-consumer e-commerce site that will help drive key business performance indicators such as engagement, conversion, retention, and lifetime value

  • Create user flow diagrams, wireframes, and other concepting assets to drive excellence in user experience and aid in internal and external approvals

  • Create e-mail, mobile, and social journeys using modern design practices focused on driving key business performance indicators such as engagement, conversion, retention, and lifetime value

  • Design or deliver assets in Figma for review, approval, and development

  • Help define brand and style guidelines; ensure consistency of these guidelines across digital properties

  • Contribute to e-commerce strategy through collaborative discussion and concepting aimed at meeting business needs and challenging status quo

  • Contribute to e-commerce strategy by staying in tune with the latest trends in digital design and tools

About You, To Be Successful in This Role:

  • Has 5-10+ years’ experience as a mid to senior level graphic designer in digital marketing and e-commerce

  • Has 5-10+ years’ experience optimizing e-commerce sites, e-mail, banners, and other digital collateral

  • Has 5-10+ years’ experience building new user interfaces and flows based on business requirements

  • High level of comfort working with business stakeholders in marketing to solve problems and optimize e-commerce properties through collaboration and problem-solving

  • Track record of delivering high-performing creative that wins A/B tests with an “always optimizing” mindset

  • Ability to design and own brand guidelines, style guides, and maintain those guidelines across multiple digital properties

  • Ability to adapt current BD and Home Care brand guidelines and creative, driving iterative modernization of brand and user interface over time

  • Experience managing assets in a digital asset management system

  • Experience with creative direction and managing and collaborating with outside design vendors when needed

  • Ability to develop and maintain user experiences based on established user personas, catering to the needs of our individual user segments

  • Strong digital commerce technology acumen for developing designs that are optimized for experiences across multiple devices

  • Understanding of ADA requirements, with the ability to develop designs that meet best-practice requirements for ease of use and compliance

  • Willingness and interest to stay updated on digital design trends and tools in order to create environment where we are always optimizing

  • Expertise in best practices in web design, including ADA

  • Expertise in cross-device and cross-browser design to allow for customization and responsiveness

Preferred Skills:

  • Figma, Adobe Creative Suite

  • Digital-Ready Design Creation

  • Extensive Knowledge of Best Practices in Digital Asset Creation

ANCILLARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • QA and user acceptance testing of designs

  • Ownership of digital asset management system and digital asset library

  • Video editing, photography, print media

$110,100.00 - 181,500.00 USD Annual
