Description
This AD, Health Information Technology is a field based resource that works with the account based team. This person would work across the portfolio at point of service with the key customer to ensure that all customer facing resources can be integrated into an EMR platform. This role is the key orchestrator (leader) of digital processes on the account team for population health initiative between payor, provider and ultimate patient. Position will serve to facilitate health information technology systems and processes relating to, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and health information exchange (HIE) with medical groups and other providers, along with tele-health. This position facilitates health information exchange within an organization and provides a fundamental understanding (and execution) of exchange processes, exchange architectures, and organizing structures. The role facilitates foundational knowledge and skills that aids BI and customer in navigating EMR systems to achieve their needs as it relates to Triple Aim. The role will address (identify and create solutions for) strategic process planning, internal change management, workflow and process redesign, and other topics typically not addressed by vendors selling systems. Individual will lead specific projects and programs to advance productivity by improving the effectiveness of customer interactions and evolving customer models. These individuals will also assist in the successful application of multi-channel/digital promotion channels. Duties & Responsibilities
  • To capitalize on the digital assets already contained within the EMR for an OCG (IDN, ACO, Medical Group). Conduct work flow assessment of the customer EMR system(s) to help harness their Health IT systems to improve diagnosis, treatment and management of patients within the Primary Care therapeutic areas.
  • To integrate custom digital assets needed to support the population health collaboration project between BI and the OCG (IDN, ACO, Medical Group) by completing the following:
    • Integrate the appropriate digital educational materials into the EMR systems at the OCG (IDN, ACO, Medical Group)
    • Interface and educate customers through a step–by–step on how to turn on the EMR templates for mutual therapeutic areas of interest.
    • Help incorporate a digital population screener into EMR system.
    • Help incorporate other screening and diagnosis tools for mutual areas of interest.
    • Simplify tools and integrate into a digital HIT system – transfer paper assets i.e. H2H, co-pay cards, digital marketing tools.
  • Lead Projects to ensure as many barriers as possible are removed so the digital assets and resources can be used for population’s health management. Focus will be on the digital asset and processes between BI and the customer (i.e. Hospital to Home) to simplify this would include processes between payor and provider as well as aspects related to telehealth and home monitoring.
  • Identify implications, threats, and opportunities as a result of the rapid adoption of Health IT by our customers. Educate internal stakeholders about customers' digital needs and processes.
  • Identify ways to preserve integrity of our brands' benefit and formulary tiering by addressing inaccuracies in formulary information when transmitted electronically to the EHR. Work with the large provider(s) associated with the IDN (affiliates/employed) to turn on the drop down menus for mutually agreed to therapeutic options.
  • Develops recommendations and leads projects for MMM teams and their agencies/vendors for content/IT on ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of existing and new population health management tools. Leads specific projects and programs to advance productivity across Primary Care by improving the effectiveness of customer interactions, evolving customer models, and developing and scaling promotional tools. Partners with IT and Medical organizations with various projects and activities, including clinical trials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or advanced degrees from an accredited institution required (e.g. MBA, MPH, etc.)
  • Six (6) to eight (8) years’ experience in healthcare, business or pharmaceutical industry
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a healthcare system working with population health clinical tools.
  • Ability to connect BI business priorities at tangible level to broader trends in Health IT
  • Ability to extract business implications and take action on them within the organization
  • Health IT certified preferred
  • Business to business communication skills
  • Presentation and Project Management skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Knowledge in multiple Health Information Technology Systems.
  • Proficiency in all elements of a front end HIT system (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
  • Possess the understanding of workflows, processes and clinical decision support, and care coordination.
  • In-depth understanding of broad market trends in health IT and health reform, as well as the dynamics of payers, large organized customers (MG/IDS) and patients
  • High level of energy and passionate
  • Ability to travel
  • Candidates who live in the Area/Zone preferred.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
