Job description

Be part of a health tech company positively impacting the disability sector.

T-shirt Ventures (we go by T-shirt) is a house of brands for products and services that give people with disability the tools and opportunities to live the life they want.

Our cornerstone brand, Provider Choice, provides personal, innovative NDIS plan management that empowers people to be in control of their NDIS budgets.

Together, we’re creating new ways for people to make the NDIS work for them and setting a new standard for supporting people with disability.

We’re looking for a People Coordinator who lives and breathes our values to join our health technology startup.

In our world at T-shirt, it’s all about human connection. We build health tech solutions and services for people living with disability and long-term health needs.  These technical solutions allow us to make space for the human connection with our customers, employees, and wider disability community.

The role

We’re looking for a People Coordinator to join us to support our biggest asset, our people. One of the key drivers to our success and competitive advantage lies in our exceptionally talented and values-aligned group of humans who make up this company. In this role, you will be a swiss-army knife addition to the People & Talent team and the day-to-day will be varied, but will include:

  • Administration:  You’ll be the engine behind our HR (People) administration.  Whether it’s keeping employee records up to date or ensuring compliance with policies or regulations, your attention to detail will keep everything running like clockwork.
  • Recruitment Support:  Help make the hiring process smooth and approachable.  You’ll assist with drafting and posting job ads, resume reviews, interview scheduling, and candidate communication and pre-hiring checks.
  • Talent Sourcing:  Be part of the search for the top Plan Management talent across Australia.  You’ll use various methods, from referrals to searches, to help us build a pipeline of strong candidates for our Customer Operations team.
  • Onboarding:  Create a great first impression for new team members.  You’ll handle everything from preparing paperwork to settling up equipment, making sure their start is as smooth as possible.
  • Employee Engagement:  Keep our team connected and engaged by organising company events, large and small, and fielding employee questions, fostering an open and supportive work environment.
  • Project Coordination:  Support the People and Talent team by coordinating various projects aimed at enhancing recruitment, employee satisfaction, and overall company effectiveness.
  • Culture Ambassador:  Lead and participate in activities that promote our company culture, in a welcoming and inclusive way for everyone, whether they work remotely or in one of our offices.
About you
  • You are completely customer-centric, with a focus on our internal customers - our team!
  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative or coordinator role within HR or recruitment.
  • Hands-on experience in recruitment support (sourcing, phone screening, interview coordination, interviewing, reference checking, etc.) and experience in recruiting roles, are a bonus!
  • Tech-savvy, with experience using HR systems like BambooHR or Greenhouse to keep processes efficient and data accurate.
  • You’re a people person who navigates conversations in a curious, open, and consultative way.
  • You’re organised, detail-oriented, and think through potential risks, but you’re also flexible and creative when it comes to problem-solving.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can easily switch between tasks like admin work, project coordination, and team engagement.
  • Proven ability to build rapport with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You’re passionate about fostering an inclusive and welcoming work culture, whether remotely or in person.
Our Values

Why join us?

Our mission is big and meaningful. It’s about using smarts and hearts to transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable Australians.

You’ll be joining an amazing values and purpose-driven team who are highly engaged and love what they do.  We're a certified Great Place to Work in 2022 & 2023!

The NDIS is growing exponentially!  The NDIS is a world-leading scheme where annually $40 billion of core government funding is invested to empower people with disability to achieve their goals.  Currently, the NDIS supports 500,000 Australians and is expected to grow to up to 1 million participants living with disability.

And that doesn’t even measure the impact that we’re having. We've helped over 15,000+ families navigate the NDIS and in some cases, it’s life-changing.

Balanced and inclusive team

At T-shirt, we're from all over the world, women make up more than 60% of our workforce and 70% of our wider leadership team.  We see the diversity in our backgrounds, identities, and beliefs as our greatest asset.  We're looking for values-aligned people with passion, grit, and integrity.

We consider a diverse range of experience and skill sets for our roles and you're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns.
