The Accounting Assistant will complete data entry, processing disbursements, recording transactions, updating ledger, assist in reviewing and preparation of periodic financial reporting, statutory and management reports.  The candidate should have an in-depth working knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency with accounting software (e.g QuickBooks, XERO).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation and Review of the following financial reports
  • Reconciliation of the following financial report:
  1. Balance Sheet Accounts
  2. Profit and Loss Accounts
  3. Wages
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
  • Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts and invoices
  • Assist with preparation for annual audits
  • Compliance with all the relevant client policies and procedures
  • Reviewing government’s notice of assessments and other correspondence
  • Providing procedural, technical, and administrative assistance to team members
  • MINIMUM HIRING REQUIREMENTS

    • A graduate in Management Accounting, Financial Management, and other Accounting related courses
    • At least 1-yr Accounting experience
    • The candidate is a Certified Bookkeeper is preferred but not required
    • Knowledgeable in Google Workspace
    • Knowledge of technical accounting skills or accounting software (XERO, Quickbooks)
    • Thorough understanding of the Australian Tax Laws both Federal and State is preferred to have but not required
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Keen to details
    • Has a client communication experience
    • Flexibility; ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and prioritize projects
    • Ability to self-manage and show initiative to drive results

    NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Wifi Connection of at least 15 Mbps
    • Residence within Metro Cebu and neighboring cities preferred
