Job Summary

Perform product reviews to assist in identifying any project non-compliances. The position of the Quality Assurance Analyst / Software Tester will be to integrate closely with the software development team. This role plays a crucial part in verifying that the products delivered are reliable, meet specified customer requirements and uphold the company’s quality status. QAA / Software tester is a key project role in delivering the highest of contract deliverables.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

The core of the work is focused on developing testing, executing test cases and tracking and tracking metrics. The software tester is expected to be analytical and an independent thinker. Experience in developing test automation scripts is desired. Essential Duties and responsibilities may include the following:

  • Document test plans, test cases
  • Participate and planning and scheduling of activities to support the Agile Sprint.
  • Report quarterly QA status metrics
  • Participate in team daily standups, peer reviews, and retrospective meetings
  • Assess the validity of user stories, requirements and use cases
  • Works collaboratively with the technical team
  • Assist in developing quality engineering processes and procedures
  • Design and implement automation scripts when required
  • Create documentation to support information system authorization/accreditation packages.
  • Create and execute test cases
  • Track to closure any found issues/bugs
  • Develop and maintain test tracking matrix
  • Support new design discussion

Basic Qualifications Required

  • US Citizenship Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years’ experience with DoD, USACE Operations
  • Experience working in Agile environment
  • Experience with Azure ADO
  • Experience with software development, testing and writing software technical documentation
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Familiarity with test management tools
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 3+ years’ experience with DoD Information Assurance
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science or other is preferred but not required
