Overview:
Lifeway Marketing is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is dedicated to executing targeted marketing initiatives to promote our diverse range of trade books and kids’ books.
The ideal candidate will develop and manage strategic book marketing campaigns that drive sales, elevate brand awareness, and engage our audience. This position requires close collaboration with authors, the publishing team, the sales team, and creative teams to deliver impactful marketing results. It also involves extensive cross-functional communication and partnership across teams. The right person will have the ability to relate well on a team, work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
The ideal candidate is someone with proven experience designing customized, multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns that achieve revenue goals. The candidate is also a talented individual who can provide innovative, comprehensive marketing strategy while maintaining day-to-day tasks.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. #LI-Remote
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement up to three to five marketing campaigns per cycle for trade books and kids’ books, following established marketing templates.
- Customizes marketing strategies for individual book campaigns to maximize reach and impact.
- Collaborates with the B&H Publishing team and authors to ensure cohesive execution of strategic marketing plans.
- Provide support across various tasks and projects as directed by the Marketing Manager, contributing to the overall success of the B&H Books Marketing team.
- Assist in project coordination, campaign reporting, and team administration as needed.
- Represent B&H Publishing and Lifeway at industry events, including denominational gatherings, church partner events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Engage with industry professionals and stakeholders to promote B&H Publishing’s mission and products.
- Some travel required for conferences and events, occasionally overnight
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience, required
- 1+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, or an advertising agency
- Proficient in developing and executing effective marketing strategies for book promotions.
- Proficient in social media marketing, direct response marketing, email marketing, and online advertising.
- Skilled in client management and presentation, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with authors and partners.
- Project Management: Proficient in managing multiple projects and deadlines, with strong organizational skills.
Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience, preferred
- Publishing or media industry experience, strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Workfront or other project management software
