About the team

The Operations and People team supports the staff of BlueLabs, their work, and their clients. Ops and People at BlueLabs includes People Operations: supporting recruitment, onboarding, and the employee experience; Financial Operations: executing payroll, book-keeping, and financial planning; and broader Operational Logistics support: Legal Operations and compliance, as well as Facilities operations, and IT.

About the role:

The Contracts Manager is responsible for the execution of our day-to-day contracts process, which supports all areas of the business. The Contracts Manager reports to the Director, Legal Operations & Compliance and is an integral part of the BlueLabs Operations & People Team. They are instrumental in ensuring that the legal documents needed to make BlueLabs run effectively are thoughtfully reviewed and efficiently move through our contracting process; all while keeping a watchful eye to mitigate risk.   

In this position you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day contract process supporting multiple business verticals, including intake and evaluation of contract requests, preparing drafts of contracts for client and vendor review, and ensuring contract compliance review following established procedures and playbooks
  • Manage and maintain Contract Management System
  • Coordinate internal review and approval of all agreements, and manage the signature process
  • Maintain library of contract templates, playbooks and terms to carry out the business needs
  • Communicate and guide contract negotiation process with clients
  • Assist relevant stakeholders on contract processes, terminology and use of Contract Management System
  • Proactively manage contract renewals and extensions
  • Assist the Director, Legal Operations & Compliance to mitigate risk and carry out company’s compliance program 
  • Handles all information with the highest level of discretion, adhering strictly to company policies and confidentiality requirements
  • Additional projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned

What we are seeking:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 4 years cumulative experience working with a variety of contracts and order documents. Prior experience with government contracts, a plus
  • Familiarity working in contract management or order management systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Someone who is incredibly detail oriented and organized: someone who loves checking off items in a to-do list, and keeping reports up to date
  • A proactive, clear, and effective communicator, both digitally and verbally
  • Ability to excel working in a remote environment
  • A process person who understands what needs to be accomplished overall and can adapt accordingly
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
