JOB DESCRIPTION

GDIT is seeking a Business Process Analyst / Technical Writer to help support our Duplicate and Identity Resolution Processing (DIRP) contract with the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC). This position is 100% remote.

This job entails a hybrid skill set of Business Process Analysis and Technical Writing.

As a Business Process Analyst / Technical Writer, you will perform the analysis, evaluation, and documentation of business and technical processes for the resolution of DoD identity data maintained by the DMDC. If needed, you will work with external agencies such as the Veterans Administration (VA), the Composite Health Care System (CHS), and MHS Genesis to help facilitate the correlation of identities between entities. The selected individual will analyze, document, and prioritize complex healthcare business requirements that need to be solved using the suite of software applications maintained by the DIRP team.

Maintain documentation on various projects, processes, and operations surrounding identity data management, insurance eligibility and demographics. Types of documentation will include Functional and Technical Requirements, Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications, User Guides, and Meeting Minutes.

Gather, define, and prioritize requirements of the project in close collaboration with the government client and appropriate stakeholders. Capture these requirements clearly and without ambiguity and assist in their prioritization.

Monitor the progression of software changes throughout the project lifecycle and work with the software development and testing teams to resolve issues that arise in both the development and production environments.

Assist with creation and updating of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual contract deliverable reports.

Operate in a complex joint testing and Production environment consisting of health care systems supporting both the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Work across government and contractor lines to ensure smooth and effective communication.

Provide expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management projects, and performance measures.

HOW A BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST / TECHNICAL WRITER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Analyze and prioritize business and technical processes to formulate and develop improvements and changes to an existing software suite of DIRP applications.
  • Facilitate communications and build relationships with the government partner and other external partners in order to achieve mission success.
  • Support DIRP’s Data Quality team by maintaining and improving the DIRP application suite that is utilized to resolve identity discrepancies so that DoD personnel, veterans, and their families have access to their health benefits.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • CLEARANCE: Able to obtain a position of public trust.
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree
  • YEAR’S EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7 years related experience analyzing business requirements and writing technical documentation in a client facing position
  • TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • o Experience in requirements management and/or process modeling
  • o Experience with project management or issue tracking tools, preferably JIRA and MS Project
  • o Understanding of relational database concepts, preferably Oracle
  • o Strong working knowledge of the MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams

The likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
