What You Will Do
The Software Developer is responsible for having a strong aptitude for understanding complex business problems and translating their technical knowledge into practical, implementable solutions that will drive high impact business value.
The software Developer will work closely with other team members to maintain internal applications and develop new products and services.
Work with stakeholders, technology, and agile project managers to define business requirements for every scrum / project and map out end-to-end solutions.
Design, develop, enhance, modify, and maintain application code and software solutions based on specific business requirements.
Liaise with internal user groups as needed to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirements.
Ensures that functional specifications can be implemented technically while developing and innovating creative solutions.
Be an integral part of the Information System’s team focused on the effective development and support of internal facing applications.
Work collaboratively with peers and business partners to deliver high quality projects and innovative solutions that advance Fidelity’s position within the Mutual Fund Industry.
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics or Mathematics or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in software development, preferable in the financial services/mutual
fund/investment industry
Experience with development practices including Java, Angular, Rest API, JSON, Spring
Good knowledge of SQL or other database platforms such as Oracle or Progress
Effective communication skills with ability to prepare project documentation & presentations
